Polish Ceramics and Jaworski Peace Church

The first documented history of pottery activity in the Boleslawiec area dates back to the late 14th century. Since then, the region has become known as a very important area for pottery production. Visit one of the best local producers, observing skilled workers at various stages of production.

Particularly spectacular is the decoration, which is done entirely by hand using special stamps with an emblematic pattern called the peacock’s eye. Then there is some time for shopping before heading to the next stop, a local restaurant for lunch.

On the way back, you will be able to see one of the largest wooden churches in Europe. The unique Peace Church in Javor was built in the socio-political context of the 17th century, during the religious wars and persecution of Protestants. It was built according to very strict regulations and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
